This was what was at the back of my site at Fishing
Bridge on May 6th. I had to chop the ice layer off the
top of the snow pile before I could get to the rest
of the snow with a shovel. The snow has been slow to
melt due to low day and even lower nighttime temperatures.
We finally got daytime temps at or above the 60's on
the day we opened, May 16th.
I'm getting these pages ready to post to the my site
on May 19th, and 2 loops are still covered with snow,
all of the areas in the trees are covered with between
2 and 4 feet of snow, and the snow piles are sill over
8 feet tall. It's been an interesting year. |
