| On July 6th, 2008 there was still lots of snow left
in the mountains above the 9,000 foot level. The snow
up there will be feeding the rivers in Yellowstone
for several more weeks. The good part of this whole
thing is that all of the Rocky Mountains really needed
a "normal" snowfall. The bad part is that
most all of this water will move down the Yellowstone
to the Missouri, then to the Mississippi, where they
don't need more water. |
