This picture was taken just east of the Pelican
Creek on 8/3. The fire was getting lots of attention
from guests in the park wondering if they should evacuate.
I kept telling them that as long as they could look
at the smoke and feel the wind to their back, they
were safe, and they were. The fire was blowing away
from the Fishing Bridge area.
