The location and The tripod
The first image is me using the Align-A-Site to check on where to put the tripod. In this case, I'm located in Arizona, and there are no trees in the area. Period. So I checked to see how close I could put the dish to the back of the rig. Five feet from the back, and I had clear sky, at my short height. The dish will be higher, so I could go maybe 4 feet. OK, I promise when I get into trees, I will post images of finding holes in trees, until then, this will have to do.

OK, it's me, and the tripod, and it's a better picture of the tripod than me. I'm not a very tall guy, 5' 6", so you can see the tripod, folded up, is not very long. It fits in the back of the Honda with no problem at all. The offset arm stays on the tripod all the time.
