The tripod is up
Next step, extend the tripod legs, and stabilize the tripod. If I'm doing a one or 2 night stay, I have a 5 gallon container of water that I hang from the bungie cord in the center of the tripod. If it's longer than that, I use the spikes and chain. I make no special effort to make sure the offset arm is level and plumb. I eyeball it, and get it close. What's important is that the dish is level to the satellite, and that's what the Align-A-Site does. If the tripod is "close" to level and plumb, it's close enough. If you're not using an Align-A-Site, you need to get the tripod nearly dead on level and plumb.
