Because the steps and several other items in the coach draw down
the battery, after setting for about 3 weeks the only way to start
the engine was to use the Aux Assist switch. I didn't like to see
this battery being drained like this and did not like the idea of
a disconnect. As long as the MH is plugged into power the unit will
read battery voltage. When the battery is fully charged the unit
turns off, when voltage drops below a given level, the unit turns
on.
Because my MH is stored in my shed and plugged in my battery problem
is solved.
I really need to give Steve Wolf some credit for this idea, he's
the one who got me thinking along these lines in a thread on the
rec.outdoors.rv-travel newsgroup. He has a great website and a lot
of cool ideas, visit him at http://www.wolfswords.com/
