This is the view we had from Fort Gorge RV Park, about 7 miles West of Cañon City. It's also over a thousand feet higher than Cañon City. It's a nice place, with great people running it. We had a large, level site, good view to the Southern sky, and a good central location for visiting the area. We were here a week that was all too short. Took a drive up Phantom Canyon Road to Victor and Cripple Creek. Another day we drove to Colorado Springs, and then up to Pikes Peak. Back to Colorado Springs the next day to visit with a lady that I went to High School with. A day at Royal Gorge, and Buckskin Joe's Frontier Town. Our elevation here at the park was 6417 feet, the humidity was low, even though we had a lot of rain. It's a place I highly recommend.
